KyngYup. Pretty sure most, if not all bats are nocturnal. I used to seem them flying around catching bugs at dusk when I was a teen living in my childhood home. Very cool!

zoldosPretty big: it's about 35x20 metres, which doesn't sound like a lot, but it is when you can't see where you're going .

When it opened, it was the largest indoor bat cave in Europe - although, I don't know whether or not it still is!

KyngNah, not really. I think there is a big zoo in the state next to us. Here, we have a "Buffalo Park" and it also has a monkey that can pick locks and he always escapes! lol

We have at least 3 little brown bats around here. We have 4 bathouses up. I love watching them when they come out at dusk.

ZandraJoiWicked. Same here. We didn't have houses for them, but 5 or 6 would come out also at dusk in our backyard to catch insects.

zoldosI can tell one is the baby as it's quite smaller. He seems to follow one of the parents around. Either he's learning or trying to catch a free meal

zoldosWell I don't know how many are in them but we have 4 bats I've counted. Our neighbors down the round counted way more.

ZandraJoiNah, this was decades ago at my childhood home. We'd only see 2 or 3 dive bombing bugs.
